Remembering Mets History (1972) Mets Wives Softball Game

In 1972 the Mets wives played a softball game against the hosting Phillies wives at Veteran's Stadium. At the time the Vet was a new ballpark having opened the previous season. That year the Phillies won just 59 games with Cy Young Award winner Steve Carlton winning 27 of those games.
