Remembering Mets History (2006) Mets Sweep the L.A. Dodgers Three Straight In the NLDS

Willie Randolph's 2006 New York Mets were in first place almost the entire season. They had won 97 games (97-65) finishing 12 games up on the Philadelphia Phillies.

The Mets potent offense was led by
David Wright (26 HRs 116 RBIs .311 batting average) along with sluggers Carlos Beltran (41 HRs 116 RBIs) & Carlos Delgado (38 HRs 114 RBIs).

ERA) had his arm in a sling & was with an injury. Orlando Hernandez (9-7 / 4.09 ERA) went down in a pre-game work out & was also going to miss the post season.

But New York still had their pair of 15 game winners, future Hall of Famer Tom Glavine (15-7 / 3.82 ERA) & veteran Steve Trachsel (15-8 / 4.97 ERA.
