Benjamin Ramon Rowen was born November 15th, 1988 in Dunedin, Florida. The family moved to East Aurora, New York, which is located just South East of Buffalo, when he was two years old & lived there until he was nine.  His father worked for the Moog Company & relocated the family once again, to Rancho Palos Verdes, California. In high school, the six foot four pitcher became a submarine style pitcher. He attended Los Angeles Harbor College & then transferred to Virginia Tech. He was originally drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 22nd round of the 2010 amateur draft. He saw action as a closer at the A & AA ball levels, posting low ERA's with high strike out rates. He was seeing late more middle to late inning relief work by the time he got to AAA. Barry Clifton Foote was born February 16th 1952 in Smithfield, North Carolina. He was ths son of minor league pitcher Amby Foote who played from 1948-1954. At 18 years old, the highly touted catcher Barry, was the number one draft pick (third pick overall) for the Montreal Expos in 1970. By 1972 he became the Eastern League MVP, in a year when the Expos had a pretty good looking future. Expo manager Gene Mauch, believed in Foote so much he labeled him the next Johnny Bench. In 1974 he replaced John Bocobella as the main catcher, he went on to lead all catchers in assists (83) & led the league in sac flies (12) while batting .262 with 11 HRs & 60 RBIs in 125 games, earning a Topps All Star Rookie award. The expectations were so high for Foote, that the Expos actually moved rookie star Gary Carter to the outfield. Marcos Molina was born on March 8th 1995 in Santiago, Dominican Republic. The six foot three, right handed pitcher began pitching for the Mets in the Dominican Summer League. In 2013 he was assigned to the Gulf Coast Mets going 4-3. He was then assigned to A ball Brooklyn in 2014, where he won the Mets Sterling Award. For the Cyclones he was 7-3 with a 1.78 ERA, striking out 91 batters in 76 innings pitched. 2015 brought disappointment where after just nine games, he underwent Tommy John surgery ending his season & had him miss all of 2016. He did return to pitch in the Arizona Fall League & was added to the Mets 40 man roster after their 2016 season ended. That Fall his fastball was clocked in the low to mid nineties. The character of Lady Met was first introduced on banners, leaflets & flyers as a cartoon figure in the mid sixties. She also donned pennants, buttons, Mets rain check tickets & had her own rag doll for the little girl Metsie fans.  She was then pictured with the original Mr. Met back in the sixties. Soon, Lady Met started making appearances, showing up with Mr. Met around Shea Stadium.  Her appearance was similar to Mr. Met, a large baseball head, with big eyes, but Lady Met had long eye lashes, long red hair and a more shapely figure. Lady Met sported an orange flip shoulder length hair style, with matching orange lipstick & a mod mini skirt. She also wore a little sweater with her name "Lady Met" across her chest.
