Mets Owner Steve Cohen Snags Carlos Correa

Mets fans awoke this morning with the incredible news that overnight Steve Cohen worked out a deal to add Carlos Correa to the Mets infield for 2023. Apparently, a medical concern caused the Giants to hold up on the deal they had worked out with Correa, that left a window open for the never stopping Steve Cohen. Cohen was upset that the Mets were too late the other day on signing him. But overnight while vacationing in Hawaii, he worked out a deal with Correa's agent Scott Boras, picking up where the initial negotiations left off.

Pending a physical, Correa would join the Mets & play at third base. With the NL RBI leader at first base in Pete Alonso / NL Batting Champ Jeff McNeil at second/ Francisci Lindor at short & now Correa at third, it makes for a very productive infield, one of the most impressive offensive units ever assembled.

With the free agent signings of Justin Verlander, Kodi Senga, David Robertson, Jose Quintana &
Omar Navarez along with the resigning of Brandon Nimmo & Adam Ottavino Steve Cohen has shown he don't care what it costs, he's trying to bring a Championship to Queens.

Quotes- Steve Cohen: "We need one more thing & this is it. This was important, this puts us over the top. This is a good team. I hope it's a good team!"

 In his eight-year career Carlos Correa is batting .279 with 933 hits 186 doubles 9 triples 553 RBIs a .357 on base % & a .836 OPS. Last year he batted .291 with 22 HRs 24 doubles 64 RBIs a .366 on base% & .834 OPS.
