Yakitey Yak- Mr. Beltran's Comments Are A Good Thing

Carlos Beltran vs Adam Laroche .....an opinion from center field

Mr. Beltran has every right to say the Mets should be embarrassed by losing three straight to the Pirates. The Pirates are an organization that hasn't seen a winning season in almost twenty years! Even with all the Mets injuries and sub players on the field the Mets should not have lost three straight. I hope Mr. Beltran's comments hit home with the rest of the squad. David Wright may have been thrown out at third base twice, but he has been hitting the stitches out of the ball the past few games. Maybe Mr. Beltrans comments is a spark that the team needs. I am happy to see some one on this team mouth off a bit and demand better play. Way to go Mr. Beltran, some drama could be a good thing to stir the pot a bit. I was glad to hear that he was livid watching the games in Pitt. while he was sick, it was making him sicker. Good now there's some feeling in the club house.

By the same respect Mr. Laroche has every right to be upset as his team was called out. It's good for both teams, it's good for baseball. But I disagree with the no class comments. Mr. Beltran goes about his business quietly & with out controversy. He is criticized for that as well. He has every right to dismiss Mr. Laroche's comments : "What I said was as a team we should all feel embarrassed, because, being honest, I don't care what he said," Mr. Beltran said Saturday night. "I believe we're a better team than them. I don't care what he said."

Way to go Mr. Beltran, now lets get a fire under this teams butt and get going again.
